I’m joining in the fun one last time with the teachers over at “The Primary Chalkboard” for Read Across America Week. Today we are sharing activities from Read Across America in our classroom. Well since I am currently a stay at home mommy, I thought I’d share some of the fun things from my classroom in past years.
First, my favorite part of the week is our pajama day read-a-thon. I always have the kiddos wear their jammies, bring blankets, pillows, stuffed animals and their favorite books and we devote the whole afternoon to reading! They read and write about their favorite books and share them with their friends. It’s such a relaxing day 🙂
We of course have to have a silly sock day!
We also have a silly hat day, when we make hats like these:
And on Wacky Wednesday we also do a Crazy Mismatch day where kids dress crazy, and we do lots of other crazy ideas that I found at Teach With Me.
I hope you all had an amazing week, happy Friday!
Thanks so much for linking up to The Primary Chalkboard! Looks like y'all had some fun this week! I love that y'all are able to read all afternoon!! Also love those great cushions!! Have a great week!
